I was thinking of it, Dawn, but then aborted the plans and canceled my time off when nothing seemed to be working out. Now, with a four day weekend ahead of me, my travel lust has again reared its ugly head, but it’s doubtful it will receive any satisfaction. Too short notice, you know? I’ll have to wait until next month… Only a couple more weeks, huh? Damn, I have to find something to wear to your big old shindig…

I am finding myself with way more energy yet somehow less time on my hands since starting a new job. Isn’t it weird how an 8-hour workday [or whatever the case may be] can have such a profound effect on our lives?

I’m way too much of a couch potato to find myself in your predicament [and my hours didn't change], but I hope you find ways to fill your time.

Isn’t it always the case…the first few days when someone leaves are great. You think of all these things to do with all your abundant alone time. Then about midway through the second day you hit a wall and suddenly have no energy to do anything because you miss that person too much to have fun. It happens to me every time I am seperated from my husband. Which thankfully is not often.

Congrats on the job! Not having a “regular” job myself I can understand how big of an adjustment you must have gone through.

I’m glad you’re enjoying the new job though!

I’m a homebody, so I love being able to come home and just stay home. I’m not adverse to happy hour once a week or so, but I’m comfy at home.

Starting tomorrow though, I work at home 3 days a week, so we’ll see if I need to get out of the house more.

I feel your pain not having people close, we live in the boonies now, and no one is very near to us, or us to them, obviously…
